The Bomb Of Hiroshima & Nagasaki

This tragic event occured in August 1945. But why did we do this? Because Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor! You ask why a country would do something so terrible like this.. It all started like this. World War II is what caused the bombs to drop. Harry Truman was president a the time. With all of the war going on the Japanesse were intrested in the Hawaiin Islands since the islands were anneced by the U.S in 1898. Japanesse wanted to knock out the Pacific Fleet as a significant fighting force. They thought that if they conqured all of the U.S terrritory, that we weren't able to dislodge them from it even if we rebuilt the damage. They sunk 4 American ships, 2 of which were picked up out of the water and returned to the war. Very light damages were delivered ti the Japanese forces. Only 29 Ari crafts were destroyed, 65 servicemen died; which is nothing compared to how many Americans died.  America viewd Japan and its culture as a beautiful thing. Japan and America were on such good terms. Japan even given every state in the U.S a friendship doll. Japan felt that they were a superior race and by defeating the U.S they would have a chance to become a Super Power.
